Yahoo! Japan’s subsidiary TAOTAO announced to start operating a crypto exchange platform from May 30 - Link

The University of Tokyo, Toyota, and TRENDE(a subsidiary of TEPCO) has announced to begin testing P2P electricity transactions using blockchain - Link

Japan’s new crypto regulation amendment plan has passed the lower house of the Diet, moved to the upper house - Link
This includes the new regulation framework around anti-money laundering countermeasures, margin tradings, and ICO.
